When you invite Quarky to your server, Discord asks you to grant a set of permissions. These permissions are the minimum required for Quarky to operate correctly — without them, certain features may not work as expected.

Required permissions

Quarky requests the following permissions:
  • Manage Roles
  • Manage Channels
  • Create Invite
  • Read Messages
  • Send Messages
  • Send Messages in Threads
  • Create Public Threads
  • Create Private Threads
  • Manage Messages
  • Manage Threads
  • Read Message History
  • Add Reactions
These are the only permissions Quarky needs to function in your server.

Resetting or updating permissions

If Quarky’s permissions become misconfigured, or if you need to restore the default permission set, you can re-invite the bot without removing it from your server. Re-invite Quarky using the same invite link. This updates the @Quarky role’s permissions without kicking the bot or losing any of your existing configuration.
New Quarky features may occasionally require additional permissions. When this happens, we’ll announce it in the support server so you know when to re-invite the bot to apply the updated permissions.
